David S. Danaher (Ph.D. Brown University) is Assistant Professor of Slavic Languages at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. His publications include articles on Czech verbal semantics from a cognitive linguistic perspective, Peircean semiotics and cognitive theory, metaphor, and Tolstoy. He is currently studying Tolstoy's use of metaphorical analogy in Anna Karenina.
