Pavel Palazhchenko was chief high-level English interpreter to former President of the Soviet Union Mikhail Gorbachev and Soviet foreign minister, Eduard Shevardnadze from 1985-1991. Palazhchenko currently serves as the Head of Press and International Affairs Expert at the Gorbachev Foundation (The International Foundation for Socio-Economic and Political Studies).
