Charlotte Sophia Rammell

Sophia Rammell is an Assistant Professor of Spanish at Minot State University. Dr. Rammell received her Ph.D. in Hispanic Linguistics and Cognitive Science from Indiana University and completed her postdoctoral training at Duke University. Her primary research interests are in the acquisition of Spanish as a second language, neurocognitive processes that affect second language acquisition, and speech and language perception in first and second languages, particularly that of formulaic expressions. Her dissertation is titled Neurocognitive Factors in Second Language Speech Perception in Noise.
