Gilbert C. Rappaport (Ph.D. UCLA, 1979) <grapp@mail.utexas.edu> is Professor of Slavic Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. He holds a joint appointment with the Department of Linguistics and serves as Linguistics Editor for Slavic and East European Journal. His publications include the monograph Grammatical function and syntactic structure: The adverbial participle of Russian (1984) and numerous articles in edited volumes and refereed journals on morphology and syntax, both synchronic and diachronic. His current research is on the interface of syntax and morphology.
