Barbara Bacz (Ph.D. in English-Polish Contrastive Linguistics, Jagiellonian University, Kraków, Poland) <firstname.lastname@example.org> is Professor of Linguistics at Laval University in Québec, Canada. She is Director of English Studies Programmes at Laval University and Board Member of Linguistic Association of Canada and the United States (LACUS). She is interested in the meaning of grammatical forms in Slavic (particularly Polish) as opposed to English and French. Her current research in prepositional and case semantics in Polish has been inspired by two semantic theories: Cognitive Linguistics and Gustave Guillaume's Psychomechanics of Language. She has published regularly in the area, in English and in French, in LACUS Forum and in Canadian journals: Canadian Slavonic Papers, Langue et linguistique, Linguistica Atlantica.
